Vice President of Development, Miles for Military

Miles for Military exists so that military families never have to choose between service and being together. By turning donor resources into free flights, the organization brings junior enlisted service members home for births, graduations, medical care, holidays, and emergencies—more than 1,000 flights in the past year alone. With a $6.8 million budget, partnerships with multiple NFL franchises, and a distinguished board drawn from the military and business communities, Miles for Military is growing fast and seeking its first Vice President of Development to take its fundraising to the next level. Reporting to the Executive Director, the VP will personally cultivate and close major gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations—with a special focus on national military-serving foundations and six- and seven-figure grants—and then build the development team as the organization grows. This is a rare chance for a mission-driven fundraiser to shape a program from the ground up and help keep military families connected when it matters most.
