Toby Stock has been a national leader in assessing and recruiting great talent for more than 20 years. As Harvard Law’s admissions dean, he conducted more than 3,000 interviews. Through his direct management and consulting practice, Toby built and improved strategy, recruiting, and development programs at think tanks, museums, foundations, and educational institutions.
He has completed executive searches for such organizations as presidential foundations, public and private universities, family foundations, and educational nonprofits.
Toby served for nearly five years as Chief Strategy Officer for National Constitution Center, where he remains a senior advisor on strategy, spearheading a strategic plan and recruiting a number of new board members. He serves on the board of the Beth & Ravenel Curry Foundation.
Toby was co-founder and president of The Dispatch, leading the equity raise and building the marketing and operations team of the DC-based media venture. Before that, he was a senior executive at the American Enterprise Institute, launching the National Council, AEI’s core non-fiduciary board, and Enterprise Club, their next-generation board, while also spearheading AEI’s college campus programs. At Harvard, Toby worked with then-Dean Elena Kagan to refine the student recruitment model.
He began his career at McKinsey & Company and is a graduate of the University of Missouri and Harvard Law School.
