Our clients come to us with a defined role and we help them find the very best person for the job. We primarily recruit for senior leadership/C-suite positions at nonprofit, educational, and other mission-driven organizations—CEOs, presidents, COOs/EVPs, VPs for advancement, deans, and other key executive roles. We have a particular expertise in recruiting leaders who are strong fundraisers.
Strategic Talent Advising
Leaders joining new organizations or making major changes in their existing organizations often need to rebuild their teams. We work with the board, CEO, or executive team to develop a talent plan that matches their institutional strategy, and then work with them to source individuals who can lead, operate, and execute in line with that plan. Our clients also call upon our expertise in board development and recruitment.

While we tailor our approach to each client, in general, the process involves the following:

With our Targeted Search services, we charge a fee of 30% of the recruited candidate’s first-year compensation. Targeted Search engagements typically last 3 to 6 months.
Our Approach: Strategic Talent Advising
We tailor our approach to each client. Engagement length may vary, and phases may compress or extend based on need. In general, the process involves the following:
MONTH 1 : Deep dive into client strategy, executive team, finances
MONTH 2 : Development of a talent plan, refining in collaboration with client
MONTHS 3-6 : Creating job descriptions, recruiting team members, and continuing to refine and update the talent plan
MONTHS 7-12 : Working with senior executives to onboard and quickly ramp up the new team members
The monthly retainer rate for Strategic Talent Advising is dependent on the size and complexity of the client. Strategic Talent Advising engagements typically last 6 to 12 months.
